The Wandering Soul

Don't mind me. I'm just trying to find my calling here in the vast internet.

Final Results for Senior Year.

And the results are in, ladies and gentlemen. Today I got my official final grade report; the same grade report that will be sent to the college that I'm going to. Rather than picking through the various classes and their corresponding grades, I'll just say the classes: Gym, AP BC Calculus (you CAN'T miss a day in this class or else you'll come back clueless), Speech, Forensic Science, CAD 2, Drama in Literature, and a study hall.

Now you might be wondering, "Why bother saying the end results if you're not going to tell us your grades?" Simple, really. I'll just say my end GPA. The cumulative weighted GPA that I ended up with is... 4.736. Mind you, the weighted scale is out of 5.

That is a pretty darn good GPA if I do say so myself. You might even say that I'm at the top of my class. But here's the thing.

I'm not even in the top 25%.

Shocking, right? I went to a school that was extremely competative. I would guess that the top 5% of the class had a perfect GPA. I mean, people there would take advanced and AP classes for the sake of raising their GPA. Which was not really my thing. I would take advanced courses in stuff that I'm good at, like physics or chemestry or math. But I'm sure that the second I would take an advanced history class, I would fail out of it simply because I detest history. I can't really say social studies as a whole because that would include psychology and philosophy, both of which I took first semester and actually enjoyed.

So I guess that's it.

Also, you're all lucky I wasn't able to get online yesterday on father's day. Then you all would have been subject to a nice long rant. But that's all over now.
